Richard DeLisi, once the longest-serving non-violent cannabis prisoner, was sentenced to 98 years in
1989.
After 32 years, he was released in 2020 thanks to the Last Prisoner Project.
During incarceration, Richard lost his son Steven, wife Colette, mother Margaret, and father
Theodore.

Released in 2020 with help from the Last Prisoner Project, he co-founded DeLisioso with his son Rick . In a remarkable turn, Richard now partners with Trulieve in Florida, the same state where he was once prosecuted, and benefits from the medical cannabis industry he once suffered for. His story fuels DeLisioso's mission for reform and restitution.
Rick DeLisi has spent over a decade refining his expertise in cannabis extraction, with a focus on water hash and live rosin techniques.
His journey began in Ft. Lauderdale, followed by 30 influential years in
Amsterdam, where he immersed himself in the local cannabis community. Now based in Maui,
Hawaii, Rick continues to apply his passion for cannabis.
As co-founder of DeLisioso, a cannabis brand dedicated to quality and innovation, Rick
helps run and represent the company, leveraging his industry experience and connections
to deliver premium cannabis products. With a relentless pursuit of unique and
exceptional flavors, Rick has earned a reputation as a renowned "Flavor Chaser" in the
cannabis industry. He continuously seeks out new and exciting genetics to push the

Beyond his professional pursuits, Rick's greatest joy comes from being a devoted husband

With a career built around empowering individuals to grow their own medicine, Nate’s dedication to tackling social justice issues is at the core of his projects.
He has edited two Royal Television Society Award-winning pieces, cementing his skill in visual storytelling.
His latest project, Santa Marta Gold, made in collaboration with the DeLisi family and industry pioneers like Kyle Kushman and Steve Deangelo, as well as advocacy groups such as The Last Prisoner Project, focuses on the injustices faced by thousands of nonviolent inmates still serving heavy sentences for cannabis-related crimes while the U.S. government profits from billions in cannabis tax revenues. Nate’s work amplifies these voices, continuing his advocacy for people’s rights and addressing the glaring disparities in marijuana laws across the country.
